Meet Andrea Morrissey, PharmD, BCPPS

At KidsMedGuide, we’re fortunate to have Andrea Morrissey, PharmD, leading as our Co-Founder and Chief Content Officer. Andrea is a Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS), a title held by fewer than 2,000 professionals nationwide—a testament to her dedication to improving children’s health.

Andrea earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and worked as a pediatric clinical pharmacist for over a decade at a major academic medical center. In addition to her BCPPS certification, Andrea holds additional certifications from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists in Pharmacy Informatics and Medical Writing, and she is a member of the American Medical Writers Association.

Andrea’s expertise extends beyond pediatric medicine. She’s also a skilled educator and an Adjunct Faculty member at a pharmacy school, excelling at translating complex medical information into relatable, practical advice for parents. As a mother of three children under age 10, she truly understands the challenges parents face. (Fun fact: One of her kids always seems to be sick—Andrea’s house is basically a test lab for every home remedy and best practice she writes about!)

Beyond her professional life, Andrea enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family, including their mischievous dog. But let's face it. Most of the time, you'll find her folding laundry and dishing out snacks.

Through KidsMedGuide, Andrea uses her healthcare background, pediatric expertise, and personal experience to help other parents find trustworthy, easy-to-understand information. She’s the mom-friend we all need—ready to share some wisdom and a laugh when parenting throws a sick day curveball.

Stay tuned for more of her insightful articles and tips. ❤️
