How does it work?

What's the dose?
- Varies depending on age, weight, and what you are treating
- The typical dose is 14 mg/kg/day up to the standard adult dose of 600 mg/day
- It can be given once daily or divided twice daily
What are the most common side effects?
- Diarrhea
- Rash (mild to severe)
- If the patient is also taking iron, stool can turn red
How should my child take it?
- Take with or without food, taking with meals may reduce stomach upset
- Shake the suspension well and use the measuring device provided
- Do not take with antacids or iron (doses must be separated by at least 2 hours)
- Store the liquid suspension at room temperature
